Right of Way Clearing in Oklahoma

Professional ROW clearing for pipelines, utility easements, road shoulders, and county right-of-way maintenance. Fast, efficient forestry mulching that keeps corridors clear and accessible.

What Is Right of Way Clearing?

Right of way (ROW) clearing is the process of removing trees, brush, undergrowth, and vegetation from utility easements, pipeline corridors, road shoulders, railroad grades, and other linear access corridors. These corridors must be kept clear to allow safe access for maintenance crews, prevent vegetation from interfering with power lines and pipelines, and maintain visibility and safety along roads and highways.

4CWM LLC provides professional ROW clearing using a skid steer-mounted forestry mulcher that grinds trees, brush, and vegetation directly in the corridor. This is faster and more cost-effective than hand-clearing or traditional equipment, and it leaves the corridor immediately accessible with no debris to haul or burn.

ROW Clearing Applications

Pipeline easements — Oil, gas, and water pipeline corridors must be kept clear for inspection access and to prevent root intrusion that can damage underground infrastructure. Forestry mulching clears the surface without disturbing the soil above buried lines.

Electric utility easements — Trees and brush growing into power line corridors cause outages and create fire hazards. We clear vegetation back to safe distances from overhead lines.

County road right-of-way — County commissioners need ROW cleared along rural roads for visibility, drainage, and maintenance access. We are registered as a vendor with multiple Oklahoma county governments.

Railroad grades — Vegetation encroaching on railroad corridors creates safety and operational issues. Mulching keeps rail grades clear without damaging ballast or track infrastructure.

Private access roads and easements — Rural property access roads and shared easements become impassable when overgrown. We clear them back to full width and grade the surface smooth.

Why Forestry Mulching Is Ideal for ROW Work

Speed — Our mulcher clears linear corridors significantly faster than hand crews or chainsaws. Miles of ROW can be cleared in days rather than weeks.

No debris removal — Everything is ground on-site. No trucks, no staging areas, and no disposal costs.

Low ground impact — Our skid steer operates with minimal ground pressure, making it suitable for working near buried utilities and in soft or wet terrain.

Erosion protection — The mulch layer left behind prevents erosion in the cleared corridor, which is critical for drainage ditches and slopes.

Real Scenarios We Solve

A pipeline company in Lincoln County needed 3 miles of gas pipeline easement cleared. Brush and cedar had grown so thick over the corridor that inspection crews couldn’t even walk the line, let alone get equipment in for maintenance. We mulched the entire 30-foot-wide corridor in four days, leaving a clean, accessible path with no ground disturbance above the buried pipe.

A rural electric cooperative in Rogers County hired us to clear vegetation from beneath a 2-mile stretch of transmission line where trees had grown into the wire clearance zone. The co-op needed the corridor cleared quickly before summer storm season increased outage risk. We cleared the full corridor in three days and their line crews were able to access every pole for inspection and repair.

An Okfuskee County commissioner contracted us to clear brush from both sides of a heavily traveled county road where overgrowth had reduced visibility at curves and intersections. We mulched the shoulders back 15 feet on each side for just over 4 miles, improving sight lines for drivers and opening up the drainage ditches that had been clogged with brush.
