How It Works
Getting started is simple, even if your property isn’t.
Use our pricing tool to check if the numbers work β it takes 60 seconds. Call us to schedule a free site walk. McIntosh County terrain varies widely between properties β a flat pasture north of Checotah is a very different job than a wooded slope above Lake Eufaula or a Canadian River bottom near Stidham β so Timothy always walks the property in person before quoting. You get a firm written quote before he leaves.
We show up on the scheduled day, run the mulcher, run the soil conditioner if seedbed prep is part of the job, and haul in gravel if your driveway or pad needs it. Most McIntosh County jobs book within 1β2 weeks. When we leave, your land is clean, conditioned, and usable.

In addition to OCC IWS, USDA NRCS EQIP cost-share programs may stack additional funding on top. Our guide on Oklahoma cedar removal cost-share programs for 2026 walks through eligibility, application steps, and what to expect. We’re happy to coordinate timing with your cost-share paperwork.
What We Clear for McIntosh County Property Owners
The Checotah ranch with cedar overtaking pasture across 15 acres. A rancher near Checotah called us about a cedar-invaded pasture that had dropped his herd’s grazing capacity over the past several years. We mulched the entire stand flush, back-graded the surface, ran the soil conditioner across the cleared ground to leave a seedable surface ready for grass, and coordinated with his Checotah Conservation District contact on the IWS cost-share paperwork β saving him a significant portion of the project cost.
The Lake Eufaula cabin owner who’d lost their view to brush. A second-home owner on a wooded slope above Lake Eufaula called about brush and small cedar that had grown up between the cabin and the water over the past five years. The lake views they bought the property for had disappeared. We cleared the understory and small invading cedar while leaving the mature hardwood canopy intact. They got their views back β and the cabin still had its shade.
The Eufaula landowner needing soil conditioning on a three-acre lot for new grass. A property owner near Eufaula had a lot that had been roughly cleared but was left compacted and full of root debris. They wanted it conditioned before seeding for grass. We brought in the Harley rake / soil conditioner, broke up the compacted ground, pulverized the remaining debris, and left a smooth, level seedbed ready for the seed truck.
The Hanna ranch with overgrown fence lines on multiple boundaries. A Hanna-area rancher had several miles of perimeter fence line being overtaken by cedar and thorny locust. Posts were being pushed over and wire sagged under the brush. We ran the mulcher along the fence rows in a clean 30-foot corridor, opening up the line for access and maintenance without damaging the fence itself.
The Stidham builder needing site prep and gravel driveway access for a Canadian River-area build. A builder near Stidham called about a residential build site that needed clearing, back grading, and a long gravel driveway run in from the county road. We mulched the building envelope, graded the pad, and hauled in and spread gravel for a working drive that handled construction traffic from day one.

McIntosh County Land Clearing FAQ
Is McIntosh County eligible for cedar removal cost-share programs?
Yes. McIntosh County is on the Oklahoma Conservation Commission’s IWS (Invasive Woody Species) priority list, and the Checotah Conservation District participates as a separate qualifying entity. Cost-share can reimburse up to 90% of cedar removal costs (up to $50,000 per landowner). Read our 2026 cedar cost-share application guide for the step-by-step on how to apply.
Do you do soil conditioning and seedbed prep after clearing?
Yes. We run a Harley rake / soil conditioner attachment that breaks up compacted ground, pulverizes remaining debris, and leaves a smooth, level seedbed ready for grass or pasture seed. It’s a common follow-on to forestry mulching and a job we can do on its own when ground has already been cleared but needs conditioning.
Do you deliver and spread gravel in McIntosh County?
Yes. We handle gravel delivery, driveway installation, and spreading throughout McIntosh County β new rural driveways, lake-area access drives, road repair, pad prep, and gravel touch-ups on existing drives. We can usually combine a gravel job with clearing work to save you a trip charge.
Do you work around Lake Eufaula?
Yes. Lakefront lot prep, view clearing, defensible space, and shoreline brush management are some of our most common jobs in McIntosh County. Our skid steer mulcher handles the steep slopes and tight access that lake property typically requires.
How much does land clearing cost in McIntosh County?
Our average rate is approximately $700/acre for normal overgrowth with a 3-acre minimum (starting around $2,100). Dense cedar, steep terrain, or extreme conditions may run toward the higher end. Standalone soil conditioning, gravel work, and smaller jobs can be quoted as flat-rate β and if cedar removal is the bulk of your job, IWS cost-share may cover the majority of it.
How quickly can you start a job in McIntosh County?
Most jobs book within 1β2 weeks. We typically walk the property first to give you a firm quote, then schedule the work. Peak season (spring through early fall) books up faster β sooner is better.
