Got Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does land clearing cost?
Our average price is around $700/acre for normal overgrowth. Dense timber, steep terrain, or extreme underbrush can push costs higher. We have a 3-acre minimum, so the starting cost is approximately $2,100. Every job gets a free on-site assessment and a firm quote before any work begins — no surprises.
What is tree mulching and how does it work?
Tree mulching uses a skid steer-mounted forestry mulching attachment to grind trees, brush, and stumps into wood chips on-site. The mulch is left on the ground where it decomposes naturally and returns nutrients to the soil. No hauling, no burning, no debris removal needed.
Do you remove stumps?
Yes — zero stumps guaranteed. Our forestry mulching process grinds stumps down as part of the clearing. We then back grade the entire area to leave a smooth, flat surface. Stump elimination and back grading are included in every job at no extra charge.
Is there a minimum acreage?
Yes, we have a 3-acre minimum. This accounts for equipment mobilization and travel costs. Jobs under 3 acres aren’t cost-effective with our equipment and we want to be upfront about that.
How long does a typical job take?
Most jobs in the 5–15 acre range take one to three days. Larger tracts or heavily wooded terrain may take longer. We’ll give you a realistic timeline during the free assessment.
Do you haul away debris?
No hauling needed. All trees and brush are ground into mulch on your property. The mulch layer is typically 2–4 inches thick and breaks down naturally within one to two growing seasons.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. 4CWM LLC is fully licensed and insured. We carry liability insurance on all equipment and operations. Proof of insurance available on request before any work begins.
What types of vegetation can you clear?
We handle virtually all Oklahoma native vegetation including eastern red cedar, blackjack oak, post oak, elm, hackberry, persimmon, sumac, and mixed scrub brush. Our equipment processes trees up to 12–14 inches in diameter in a single pass.
